CT State Troopers Submit Lackluster Photo for National Cruiser Contest
The American Association of State Troopers is in the midst of the annual Best-Looking Cruiser Calendar Contest.
When all the votes are in, the top 13 finishers will appear in next year's calendar. The voting runs through August 25 at state-troopers.org.
This is Connecticut's photo below.
As a stand-alone photo, it's cool. The cruiser has a mean looking front-end, hey look, it's a castle, but in general this is a weak effort and we don't stand a chance of making it in the calendar. The location stinks, the color of the car is whack, it doesn't work for me, especially considering some of the kick-ass competition.
Arkansas
Georgia
Idaho
Ohio
Utah
I voted for Idaho but it was not easy, I have a lot of love for Georgia and Utah. I'm not blaming this poor CT showing on the photographer, or the model of the car. It's just not great, it's a blah submission and that makes me sad. I read every single survey, poll and study that has anything to do with comparing CT to the other 49 states and we are constantly getting our ass kicked.
This is a contest we could've won. You take the same car, paint it black or midnight blue, park it in front of a raging river, get the photographer to capture a blue lens-flare coming off the emergency lights and we are dancing cheeks-out in the winner's circle.
Most of the 50 states are participating in the competition but not all of them. You can see the full-list and choose your favorite one here on Survey Monkey.
WARNING - Once you vote, you get locked out of the list and can't go back to scroll-through again. This happened to me when I voted, and went to show the list to a friend at work.
We spoke about this on the Thursday (8/11/22) edition of the Ethan and Lou Morning Show.
