Could Perkins Fill the Void Left by Friendly’s in Connecticut?

A restaurant that has never set up shop in New England appears to be sniffing around for franchises in the Northeast, could Perkins Restaurant and Bakery fill the void left by all of the Friendly's closures in Connecticut?

The older I get, and the more Ozempic that I take, I find that I'm falling back into a pattern of craving American comfort food favorites. My go-to for a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner was either Friendly's or the Farm Shop. For most of our lives it was pretty easy to find a Friendly's, or a Farm Shop restaurant near you in Connecticut, serving up a classic American burger/chicken/breakfast/ice cream menu. Unfortunately, Friendly's  closed down most of their locations in recent years. The Friendly's locations in Bristol, Naugatuck, North Haven, Southington, Newington, and Plainville survived the corporate purge, basically closing any that were convenient for me.

I've been getting served a ton of geo-targeted ads on my social media feeds with an invitation to own a Perkins American Food Restautant for an advertised price of just over $3 million dollars. I did some research and found that there are no Perkins American Food Co. locations in Connecticut yet, the closest are just over border in New York in Wappingers Falls and Newburgh. I don't see a lot of differences between the Friendly's and Perkins menu offerings, both offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but while Friendly's showcases ice cream, Perkins bakes their own pies.

Denny's tried to make an attempt to gain the attention of casual diners of Connecticut, maybe Perkins is next?
