Conde Nast Traveler has named Litchfield County one of the best places to visit in the United States, and it’s easy to understand why. The town of Litchfield is just a 30-minute drive from downtown New Milford. The county includes 26 towns, such as Washington, Kent, Salisbury, Woodbury, Cornwall, and Sharon, to name a few.

The Conde Nast Traveler website states, "There's everything from breathtaking hikes to modern art and contemporary-designed hotels." But that's just a tiny portion of what Litchfield County has to offer. I feel the CNT article was written for the affluent traveler, which is fine, but I'm so far removed from that lifestyle. I'm more of a "Let's go for a drive, take some photos, and then find somewhere great to have dinner" kind of guy.

I invite you to keep scrolling to check out some of my favorite destinations in Litchfield County.
