As the two vehicles reached Exit 35, the Honda allegedly pulled up alongside the victim’s car and threw an object at it. The driver of the Honda then sideswiped the victim’s car and began shooting out of the passenger side window. Four rounds were reportedly fired, with one striking the victim in the left arm. The victim was later treated at a local hospital for a non-life-threatening injury.

After fleeing the scene, the Honda was spotted by a Troop H Sergeant, who attempted to pull the vehicle over. The driver, identified as 23-year-old Amir Wali from New Haven, led officers on a brief pursuit before stopping in a commercial parking lot on Weston Street in Hartford.
