Connecticut Is Home to the Largest U-Pick Tulip Farm in New England
With weather like this, how can you not say that it's officially spring?
Pure sun, birds chirping, flowers blooming and warm weather among us and I am just about ready for summer. We've gotten hints of spring, but I'm already to go all in. We have waited long enough here in New England and now it's time for warm weather.

Something I think about when it comes to warm weather is all of the outdoor activities that are on the horizon. An activity that I very much so want to take part in this year are the different flower fields that Connecticut has to offer. I've seen people go to the sunflower field at Lyman Orchards, the floral garden space at Elizabeth Park, and so many more. There are places that are like the botanical gardens, just right here in Connecticut.
The Largest U-Pick Tulip Farm in New England
As I was looking around, I came across the Wicked Tulips Flower Farm that's located in Preston, Connecticut. Wicked Tulips Flower Farm has three different locations - Exeter, RI, Preston, CT and Johnson, RI. These are known to be the biggest tulip farms in New England, and Preston is their largest location, making it the largest U-Pick tulip farm in our area.
I love the idea of this. You go in season where you get to pick your own tulips and get to stroll through the farm. Each ticket includes 10 U-pick tulips and then you can purchase additional. They only offer tickets for a short span of the season where the tulips will really "wow" you. Each season is about 18-21 days and there is still no official announcement on when this one will start.
Their website provides you with all of the information you could need, but it's so cool to see a farm right here in our state that offers such a fun and unique spring activity. Today would be the perfect day to adventure into something like this. I can't wait to see all of the photos once it officially opens for the season.
