Country Fair Season Starts This Weekend in Connecticut
Can you smell the sausage and peppers in the air? The happy screams of delight from the school kids on their first Ferris wheel ride? It's outdoor fair and festival time in New England, our brief window+ of 80 degree weather is here, and the 2025 country fair season gets underway in Connecticut this weekend.

Tomorrow is Friday, July 25, according to the latest forecast it will be in the 90's, a perfect evening to enjoy the first big country fair in Connecticut for the season. The 65th annual Lebanon Country Fair is happening from Friday - Sunday July 25-27 at the fairgrounds on Mack Road. Admission this year is $10 for adults, and kids 12 & under are free.
What are America's Five Favorite Fair Foods for 2025?
Deep-Fried Oreos tops the list, followed by Funnel Cake, Corn Dogs, Fried Dough, and something that I only recently tried at The Big E - Turkey Legs. The other fair food that I cannot get out of my mind since trying it at last year's CT Garlic Festival in Bethlehem is fried corn on the cob. Who knew that one of the country fair's main staples could be improved upon?
The Wolcott Country Fair is August 8-10, Admission is $10 for adults and kids 10 & under will be admitted free with their parents. The New Milford Lion's Club Carnival is happening August 7-9 at the John Pettibone School in New Milford. The 72nd annual Bridgewater Country Fair is up next August 15-17, and yes, the roast beef sandwiches are ready. Admission is $10 for adults and kids 12 & under are free. The last day of August brings Labor Day weekend and that means one of Connecticut's oldest the Goshen Fair is back August 31 - Labor Day Monday September 2.
