
Connecticut Sees Multiple Car Crashes Into Local Businesses
It was a bad day to be a building in Connecticut yesterday, all across our state vehicles were crashing into businesses, and it's hard to ignore that we have a serious problem with inattentive and reckless driving in our state.
Yesterday(November 24, 2025), was the beginning of the short Thanksgiving Holiday work week, but multiple businesses around CT had to shut it down after vehicles crashed into them. We'll start things off in Newtown where nbcconnecticut.com reports that a vehicle crashed through the front of the Newtown Nail Spa in the Big Y shopping Plaza along Church Hill Road at around 10:30AM. According to comments on Newtown Hook & Ladder's update, it was reportedly an elderly driver behind the wheel of the Toyota Camry.
Hours later, Nbcconnecticut.com reported that a man had been hospitalized after crashing through the front entrance of Advance Physical Therapy at 311 Main Street in Terryville. According to the Terryville Volunteer Fire Department the Ford Escape SUV made it past the reception area all the way into the newly renovated office, and luckily no injuries were reported. Just when you thought it was safe to go outside, another incident happened in Avon.

Patch.com reports that a driver suffered a medical emergency along Rt. 44 in Avon yesterday and ended up crashing into the front of E&D Pizza Company at 200 W. Main Street. According to the owners the store will reopen today after a black SUV jumped the curb and ended up inside the building. No serious injuries were reported again, luckily.
