Closed for 5 Years This Popular New Milford Diner Announces They Are Reopening
In July 2014, a new sparkling diner named DinerLuxe American Grill opened its doors at 108 Danbury Road in New Milford. The first time my grandkids saw this new eatery, they nicknamed it 'the shiny diner.'
According to ctinsider.com, Dino Serroukas and Peter Siasanas initially purchased this unique restaurant in 2014. The restaurant was sold in 2019, and the diner closed quickly in December 2022, surprising many New Milford residents. The reason for the closure is still a mystery, although Serroukas believed COVID-19 was the culprit.
But now the good news! The original owner, Peter Serroukas, and his son, Dino, have teamed up and purchased the vacant restaurant. They told the Newstimes they plan to open in the fall. Their mutual goal is to return it to its overwhelming success in 2014.
What sets New Milford's Dinerluxe American Grill apart from most diners? The outdoor facade includes large fins similar to those of the 1957 Chevy Bel Air.
The new menu will combine traditional diner food with classic Italian and Greek specialties, as well as gourmet salads, steak and seafood entrees, and much more. Owners Peter and Dino told ctinsider.com that when Dinerluxe reopens in September, its hours will be 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week.
