The last week of 2020, the New York area news stations including CBS 2 were reporting stories of aggressive squirrels on the attack in Queens, NY.

in some of the attacks, the victims (humans) were left bruised and frightened, others were even bloodied and they were also probably frightened. The police have more questions than they do answers and no one can claim to know the motive of these squirrels. The bottom line was chaos and fear.

Then, last week a report out of Washington Township, NJ where police say a flock of angry chickens were harassing and chasing customers at a McDonald's drive-thru. When all was said and done the cops made a few jokes and even took a selfie with the a pair of the chickens in question.

*Update* the chickens owners were found. Thanks to all who shared this story and helped spread the word.

I don't know what everyone is laughing at. It's all fun and games until it extends beyond containment. We can guess what a manageable amount of psychotic animals would be but what is an unmanageable number of squirrels? How many, is too many chickens?

Last year, everyone kept saying to me, "I can't wait for 2020 to end." I would gently remind those people that the world doesn't know or care that we have these calendars and turning the page on one does not mean mother nature is done with us.

She doesn't seem to be done, not by ant stretch. 2020 was ass and 2021 is obviously not cool at all. Squirrels are on the attack in Queens, NY, chickens have laid claim to New Jersey, it's a jungle out there.

I don't want to be an alarmist but can someone please hit the alarm? .
