Lowest Gas Prices in the Greater-Danbury Area – October 2024
Gas Buddy reports that average gasoline prices in Connecticut have decreased by nearly 5 cents per gallon over the past week and by 30 cents per gallon in the last month.
According to News 12:The current average price for a gallon of gas in Connecticut stands at $3.04, down from $3.76 at this time last year. The lowest price available in the state is $2.64 per gallon.
What about our local area? I checked Greater Danbury's gas prices on Gas Buddy, and here's what I discovered:

- 7/11 - 106 Federal Road - $2.83
- Wheels & Citgo - 27 Tamarack Avenue - $2.85
- Valero & Wheels - 133 Padanaram Road - $2.95
Brookfield
- Costco - 200 Federal Road - $2.77
- Citgo - 177 Federal Road - $2.82
Bethel
- Citgo & Atlantis Fresh Mart - 77 Greenwood Avenue - $2.78
- Citgo - 295 Greenwood Avenue - $2.79
- Mobil - 33-35 Grassy Plain Street - $2.79
Ridgefield
- Valero - 603 Danbury Road - $3.25 - This is the only Ridgefield gas station with a listed price on Gas Buddy at the moment.
Newtown

I cannot believe there is one cheap thing in Connecticut right now and it's gas. I guess we will have to just accept the victories wherever we can get them. HOORAY!!!!!
P.S. Groceries are another thing altogether but they are going to be the end of me, this cannot continue like this. I never thought I'd be brought down by the price of laundry detergent.
