I-95 Exclusive: Carlos Mencia Roasts the 18-Year-Old Version of Himself

You know Carlos Mencia from his hit Comedy Central series Mind of Mencia, his sold-out stand-up tours, and roles in films like The Heartbreak Kid. The comedy legend is bringing his unfiltered humor to Connecticut this weekend at Comix Roadhouse at Mohegan Sun. Mencia will be doing four shows over the course of three days from Thursday, October 23 - Saturday, October 25.

We got the chance to catch up with Carlos ahead of this big show — and this was our favorite moment from the conversation.

Lou: If you were to roast the 18-year-old version of yourself, what would your opening line be? 

Carlos: "Ohhhhh... what would be my opening line to my 18-year-old self? Here's what it would be: I'd be on stage, and I'd go, 'Where is Carlos Mencia? Carlos, you right here? Is it true that you have 11 sisters, 6 brothers, and like 72 cousins?'

'Yeah.'

'Is it true that one time at a party, your father told you to hit on this cute girl, but he neglected to tell you that that was your cousin — and you ended up b----- her?'

'Yeah...' (defeated voice)

And you make fun of rednecks?

That's a true story, guys."
