I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing Carl Palmer of Emerson, Lake & Palmer several times and what always stands out to me is how soft-spoken the man is.

Whenever I speak to someone like that, I wonder where they put their angst and release their energy. Now I know exactly where Carl Palmer puts that aggressive energy, he takes it out on his drums. I’ve never seen the man in person but I know he comes to the Ridgefield Playhouse every year.

Just last week (2/9/22) he was back in Ridgefield, at the Playhouse for his Carl Palmer ELP Legacy Tour, celebrating a half century of ELP music. Thankfully, the people in attendance were rolling their cameras to capture a special Rock N' Roll moment, right in our backyard.

This video was posted the same night by a Youtube user named John Francese.

That video is 7:00 minutes long and he was already drumming when the person started filming, so it could have been even longer. That was impressive, especially if you take into account Carl Palmer is now 71 years old.

Palmer’s American tour dates are all wrapped up, he’ll take a brief break and then he’s off for an extensive European tour but don’t fret, the man comes back to Ridgefield, every year like clockwork.

Missing your favorite artists at the Ridgefield Playhouse is always a mistake. There is no better local small venue. The Playhouse treats all their guests and artists like this is an arena and puts on the most professional, crisp sounding shows.

It’s no wonder artists rave about the place, they don’t have to think twice about the little things, that are actually quite important. There is never a sound issue, a problem with security or anything that could damage the artist's reputation or the fan experience.

We have Comedian Jim Breuer join us every year to promote his show when he comes to town. Being a Breuer fan, I want to talk about Half Baked, Saturday Night Live and Metallica, and he wants to talk about how much he loves the Ridgefield Playhouse. It’s a good thing we take our time and make sure all the questions get asked, even if it takes a while.

Danbury Man Shares His UFO Eyewitness Story and Photos

Everyone has a story to tell and some are more interesting than others. Recently, I was contacted by a Danbury man who had read an article I’d written about UFO’s and he wanted to tell me his story and share his photos.

From the opening sentence, I knew it was a story I wanted to hear and the pictures were even more intriguing. This is a UFO story from a Danbury man named Bill Salvador, in his own words.
