Candlewood Lake Authority Preparing to Wrap Up the 2019 Boating Season
The Candlewood Lake Authority is prepping the lake for its 2019 drawdown.
You do realize I'm writing this article to show off some more of my Candlewood Lake photos but there are jobs to be done before the snow flies. The Candlewood Lake Authority has just published its Fall 2019 newsletter for lakefront homeowners and boat owners.
Boaters should be aware that the CLA will begin the navigation and buoy removal process in mid-October following the Columbus Day Weekend. FirstLight will begin a shallow drawdown of Candlewood Lake which includes Squantz Pond on December 1 until the beginning of the fishing season in April of 2020.
The CLA is currently accepting applications for new marine Patrol Officers for the 2020 boating season. These are part-time positions and applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Applications can be found by clicking this link.
The Summer of 2019 has been one of the best summers on the lake that I can remember. The weather was amazing and the sunsets were magnificent. If you'd like to view more photos of the lake, click on my 'Candlewood Lake Photos' FB page which includes dazzling pictures from a number of lake lovers.
