Brookfield Police Warn of Route 133 Bridge Closure in October

The Route 133 bridge over Lake Lillinonah will not be available for a couple of weekends.

The Brookfield Police and the Department of Transportation have asked us to put out the word about two temporary bridge closures over Lake Lillinonah that connects Brookfield to Bridgewater.

The Route 133 bridge will be closed and detoured beginning Friday, October 11 at 10 pm. The closure and detour will be in effect through the weekend until 5 am on Monday, October 14. Detours will utilize Route 67, Route 7/202, and Route 25.133 Bridge( Bridgewater to Brookfield View)

The Connecticut DOT is also warning of a second detour for the Route 133 bridge beginning Friday, October 18 at 10 pm through 5 am Monday, October 21. Plan accordingly so you don't get caught staring at a bridge you can't cross. If you know anyone who travels from Brookfield to Bridgewater on Route 133, please pass the word along.
