Brookfield Police Say It’s Time to Cornhole, The Wait is Over
The anticipation comes to an end today, it's time to cornhole baby!
Today is the day for the Brookfield Police 2023 Cornhole Tournament. The tournament is a part of the 3rd annual National Night Out located at Brookfield Town Hall (100 Pocono Road). The event goes from 4:30 - 8:30 pm and will feature a variety of fun/activities like:
- 4 Bouncy Houses
- Dunk Tank
- Tug of War
- Potato Sack Race
- Face Painting
- Kids Tattoo Station
- Games
- Narcan Training
- Helicopter, SWAT and SCUBA demonstrations
- Live Music
- Food Trucks
- Raffles
- Home Run Derby
- and of COURSE.....CORNHOLE
The P.D. probably has all of it's team's registered by now, all that is left is to get down to business. Teams paid $50 for their registration fee but some of them will walk out with more money then they arrived with. The 1st place team will get $400, 2nd place gets $200 and 3rd place gets $100.
Hopefully some of the winners will turn the money back over because all of the proceeds from this afternoon's event go to the Special Olympics. You don't have to play or watch cornhole to attend, just put your pants on and go to Pocono Road. Grab a beer, some food and catch live music from Dan's Garage.
I'm pretty deadly at cornhole for the first two games after that I can't hit the side of a bus. That has everything to do with the fact that I only play this when I've had a few pops.
