Brookfield Local Business Seeks Public Help After Shoplifting Incident
Local businesses are doing everything they can in this economy to survive. We write time and time again about businesses shutting down lately. Multiple corporate giants have closed their doors due to not enough business, so can you imagine how local businesses feel?
Can you imagine stooping so low that you're going to steal from a local business in this economy? These people put their heart and soul into their businesses, so for people who feel the need to steal from them is absolutely mind-blowing. I came across a post on my feed yesterday about a Brookfield local business who this has just happened to.
Guitar Hangar is a family-owned guitar shop in Brookfield. They just celebrated their 25th anniversary of music sales and service. They are located at 270 Federal Road in Brookfield and have a wide variety of instruments, not only guitars, as well as gear. They are known for their unique selection, and take pride in not being like "big-box corporate music stores." Their page talks about providing rare, vintage, and custom instruments to clients all over the world.
Just this week, Guitar Hangar posted about their first shoplifting incident in their 25 years of business. The post is below:
They are looking for public help to identify who the shoplifter is and encourage people with any information to either contact them at 203-740-8889 or to contact the Brookfield Police Department.
Stuff like this just makes me so angry. Businesses are just trying to survive and you want to steal their equipment? I hope someone around town knows who this person is so that they can be held accountable.
I am rooting for all of our local businesses. If you're around, head down to Guitar Hangar and see if there's something you'd like to buy to help make up for this person's senseless decision.
