Connecticut Bandits Rip Off Seven Stores at the Danbury Fair Mall
Two women from Bridgeport were charged after allegedly stealing over $2,000 worth of merchandise from seven different Danbury Fair Mall stores.
The story about the arrest of Shanan Jordan and Dorothy Freelove of Bridgeport comes courtesy of the Danbury Patch. The crime spree included the stores Pac Sun, Victoria's Secret, and Forever 21. Police responded to a larceny complaint at 1:30 pm on May 26 and discovered the fearless duo had squirreled away $2,000 worth of store merchandise.
If I was an amateur crook, I would have closed down the heist after just three stores unless, of course, their shoplifting plan was written in stone to include all seven stores or, they had a pre-existing condition called kleptomania, which is the recurrent urge to steal items you don't need.
The looting ladies were charged with larceny in the third degree and organized retail theft. I didn't know that was a thing. They each posted $2,500 bonds and will be back in court on June 6.
