Actor/Director Q&A’s Coming to Connecticut in September 2024
Would you like to ask Laura Linney if she was frightened by Jim Carrey while they were making The Truman Show? Or hear about Andre the Giant's legendary farts from Cary Elwes? Your opportunity to do that and more happens right here in Connecticut over the next few weeks.
I love attending actor/director screenings with audience Q&A's, we just missed a great one, when Curtis Armstrong appeared at a One Crazy Summer screening at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield on August 25. I was lucky enough to attend a Walton Goggins Q&A/screening at The Moviehouse in Millerton, NY back in January, and a Campbell Scott Q&A at Bantam Cinema. Here's a few opportunities coming to Connecticut in September 2024.
The Ridgefield Playhouse will host An Evening With Laura Linney & Screening of The Truman Show on Thursday, September 12 at 6:30PM. The Truman Show is incredible film that was released in 1998, a Q&A with Linney will follow. A Meet & Greet with Linney is included with the $150 ticket.
Bantam Cinema & Arts Center will present a screening/Q&A of the film The Northern Kingdom with actress/director Dorothy Lyman on Thursday, September 19 at 7PM. Lyman has appeared in hundreds of legendary tv shows over decades, I would expect incredible stories. Tickets are $35.
Torrington's Warner Theatre will present An Inconceivable Evening with Cary Elwes on Saturday, September 21 at 7:30PM. Elwes will appear following a screening of The Princess Bride for audience Q&A. VIP packages are available and include a meet & greet with Elwes, and an autographed copy of his book, starting at $150.
