The Connecticut Environmental Conservation Police arrived on the scene aboard 34 Marine 1, along with shore-based units. The initial 911 call reported a vessel was taking on water while a second boat was attempting to return to Lattins Cove Boat Launch noted at the bottom right of the map.

As it turns out, the boat that was reported to be taking on water, in fact, was not. The second vessel that was initially reported to be cruising back to Lattins Cove did not arrive and supposedly left the area altogether.

The first boat was escorted back to Lattins Cove where the two individuals on board were checked out by EMS. One person was transported to Danbury Hospital. The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection ENCON police are handling the investigation.
