The script hasn't been written yet on CT's Phase 3 reopening, but I've got a couple of hints.

According to an article on the website ctpost.com, the timeline for Phase 3 return to business, is late July or August. The following items are currently in the planning stages for the reopening: bars, indoor event spaces and venues, indoor amusement parks, and outdoor events of 100 or less.

Phase 3 will only become a reality if the public follows protocols already put in place by Governor Lamont. What could slow down the opening of Phase 3 is if a second wave of the pandemic occurs. Another factor is the willingness of residents to submit to COVID-19 testing, contact tracing, and the availability of PPE.

Governor Lamont has been conferring with public health experts, business owners, and education officials before making any recommendations regarding the reopening of Connecticut's economy saying, "The global COVID-19 pandemic is complex and rapidly evolving, and that is why I asked a group of people on the ground here in Connecticut." according to the ctpost.com article.

My opinion is that the United States is carelessly moving far too quickly with reopening procedures as the virus continues to rampage across America. Until nearly everyone has the opportunity to be tested and contact tracing is commonplace, our country's chances of beating this pandemic are slowly slipping out of reach.
