When going out for breakfast, have you already chosen what you’ll order, or are you the type of adventurous eater who likes to try something new? My favorite breakfast dish is two eggs cooked over easy, accompanied by Canadian bacon or sausage links, home fries, and wheat toast.

When I'm feeling adventurous, my destination is always Mothership Bakery and Cafe on Main Street, Danbury. I'll tell you why later in this article. This reminds me of a true story from six years ago when I occasionally took my four-year-old grandson Bradley out to lunch after picking him up from preschool.

Bradley was a picky eater who always ordered a short stack of pancakes, which he used as a base for the maple syrup. He would pour so much syrup over the pancakes that they resembled an island surrounded by water. After covering the pancakes in syrup, he would set down his fork and pick up his spoon to eat the syrup first, occasionally having just a couple of forkfuls of pancakes. I truly enjoy being a Papa!

Out of all the restaurants in greater Danbury, I've picked out eight breakfast spots that excel for delicious food, great service, and a unique vibe. Keep scrolling to check out Greater Danbury's best breakfast eateries!
