8 Marvel Comic Book Characters That Called Connecticut Home
The spinner rack at my father's grocery store is where it all started. There was also a magazine area with everything the 1970s had to offer and one day there was a giant-sized Superman vs Spiderman comic book. I no longer have that exact book, I have a copy of it, but it is a prized possession and really spurred my love of comic books and inspired this article.
I had an extensive collection at one time but sold 95% of them on eBay, I guess I needed beer money or something. Actually, I sold them along with just about every single piece of vintage Star Wars stuff I had left from my childhood to pay rent, but that is another story. My love of comic books and the characters that inhabit them would be immediately known by anyone who steps foot in my house. My collection of toys returned with a vengeance with Funko Pop and McFarlane Toys Batman Action Figures from floor to ceiling in a couple of corners in a couple of rooms. My collection of Marvel, Star Wars, and Batman action figures continues to grow and we may have to add on soon.
All of this leads us to the whole point of this article and that is, do you know what Marvel Comic Book characters are from, or lived in Connecticut? We were able to find eight of them and also uncovered a tidbit about Captain America himself and that is coming up later in the article. I think one of the appeals of Marvel over DC for some, is that the characters are based in ACTUAL cities, not made-up ones like Gotham City or Metropolis.
