10 Things That Shock People After Moving to Connecticut
I love Connecticut so much.
However, the cost of living has made me do the unthinkable and actually start to consider life somewhere else. I've got no serious immediate plans to go anywhere but it might be necessary one day.
When I have these daydream sessions, they are more like nightmares. I don't want to get used to new food, different architecture or weirdo landscapes. I don't want to get a new doctor, figure out where things are and "meet new people."
I like my old people so if I moved anywhere it would be a shock to the system. I got to thinking about that concept and wondered what would shock people about moving here. I came up with 10 examples, very strong opinions that are not going to be for everyone.

I don't like the word shocking because it is so dramatic. The fact is nothing shocks me anymore. I've lived through Y2K, 9/11 and Covid-19. I witnessed the last two elections with my own eyes and saw the Challenger explode on live TV when I was a child. If you truly want to shock me, or anyone from my generation, you'd better pull a unicorn out of your ass.
