Yeah, I know, who cares! But I still have the need to follow up on this Connecticut Soap Opera.

Oh my god. Will this baseball stadium saga ever end? Certainly the answer is yes, one way or another. It will either be completed, or boarded up as a monument to stupidity.

In a story from the Hartford Courant, the construction insurance company for Dunkin' Donuts Park has taken over after the city of Hartford fired developers of the stadium over the summer. Arch Insurance has hired experienced stadium builder Whiting Turner Contracting to finish the job.

Patrick Nails, a senior vice president with Arch Insurance told the Hartford Courant:

Whiting-Turner brings extensive experience with sports and recreational facilities which it will use to complete construction of the ballpark so that we can bring baseball to Hartford next year.

Hopefully they can bring this project to completion. No one wants an empty, unfinished structure sitting in Connecticut's Capitol. To top it off, word is that if the stadium is not ready for baseball in April of 2017, Hartford will likely lose the team.

If you build it - they will come, seems really, really questionable to me at this point.
