If you had to guess them all you probably could.

Here are just a few from the list.

  • Star Wars - 155 million people globally searched for Star Wars.  The top character searched was Darth Vader.  The top question typed into the search bar was: "What order should I watch the Star Wars movies in?"  - HAHA!  Typical.  How about in order subtracting of course the prequels all together.  That just seems like a no brainer based on the fact that they are #1 - numbered and #2 - The prequels were actually reviewed and those reviews are very available.
  • Caitlin Jenner - Yep, bye bye Bruce and Hello my name is Caitlin was one of the biggest stories of the year.  366 million people around the world searched for Caitlin's big reveal by google'ing Vanity Fair, Caitlin Jenner.  Yonkers, New York was the number 1 city in the world searching for Caitlin Google.
  • The Dress - Do you remember it?  73 million people searched for it. No one in the world could agree what color it was.  Some thought blue and gold.  Others thought black and white and in the end we got no real answers and wasted a lot of time.  London and New York searched "The Dress" more than any other cities in the world.
  • Royals win the World Series - The most interesting question people Google'd was:  "Who won the World Series?"  Really?  If you did not care enough to watch the games why would you care enough to Google it?  144 million people searched for the Royals.  Johnny Gomes was probably responsible for half of that.  For a guy who did not play in the series he certainly had a lot to say.
