I went to see 3 Doors Down and Fuel at Fairfield University years ago, when they were both topping the rock charts.

3 Doors Down went on stage first, laid an egg, and then Fuel came out and saved the day. The sound for 3 Doors Down was awful, their energy could only be described as butt, and then, they cut their set short. LAME. Fuel then comes out, and blew their doors, all three of them, off the hinges.

Either Fuel got the benefit of a terrible opener or they were just THAT good. Other than that, I have not seen a lot of bad shows. I've been to a lot of concerts, and enjoyed most of them.

I guess the real question is, what concert was I most mentally altered at? That is going to have to come down to Metallica's set at Woodstock '99, where I ingested a bunch of things I did not recognize. The other option would be the Allman Brothers at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center or SPAC. Had a Marlboro pack filled with left-handed cigarettes. In hindsight, I'm not even sure it was the Allman Brothers on stage. It could have been a cover band. Hell, it could have been Slipknot, and I would not have noticed.

What is the worst concert you have ever seen? We wanna hear about it tomorrow morning on the Ethan and Lou show. Call us after 7 at 203-775-9595.
