Over the last 33 years, I've DJ'd hundreds of wedding receptions for my company, Ethan Carey's Dance Machine and I've witnessed everything from pure bliss to wedding cakes that have toppled over to guests who have toppled over. I should really write a book!

If I had to give just one solid piece of advice to a bride or groom about their upcoming wedding, it would be...."Do Not Get Drunk!!" I've witnessed a "Mother of the Bride" pushed into a hotel swimming pool while doing the conga line. She was not a good sport about it. Sadly, I've seen a "Mother of the Groom" actually having a nervous breakdown after being verbally abused by the "Mother of the Bride." I've witnessed members of the wedding party loading my CD players into their car and then driving away. I should write a book. I've seen members of the "Wedding Party" where I was DJ'ing, get into a fist fight with the "Wedding Party" from next door that was fueled by a pile of cocaine. Yes, the police were called. On the plus side, I've seen some unbelievable sunsets over the Connecticut coastline while playing music for a ceremony right on the beach. I've been so touched by listening to a bride's wedding vows to her husband, I couldn't stop crying. I've been served a dry turkey sandwich with stale potato chips, which I had to eat sitting on an ice machine. I've seen a photographer slip a bride some valium because she refused to climb out of the limo at the reception and I've had a bride actually trying to make out with me. I should write a book!!!  Check out the video for some major wedding fails.
