Veterans Job Fair
The Townsquare Media of Danbury Veterans Career Fair will be on May 19th from 11AM to 3PM at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury! Starting a new job is never easy, and finding the right one after serving in the military can be even more daunting, but Townsquare Media of Danbury is here to help you every step of the way. You have fought long and hard enough serving and protecting the Nation, and you should not have to battle for a job when you return. Let us bring the career fair and employers to you.
Certified Professional Résumé Writers from the Connecticut Department of Labor will also be at the fair to review and critique résumés, and offer employment tips and suggestions. Additionally, a series of information sessions facilitated by Labor Department employees will provide an overview of services and free workshops offered at American Job Center offices, including reemployment strategies and job search techniques, computer skills, and hiring incentive programs such as Connecticut’s Subsidized Training and Employment Program (Step Up), which provides wage and training subsidies to employers that hire an unemployed jobseeker.
