Recently, I posted this question on my FB page, "What are your favorite concert venues in the i95 listening area?"

I received dozens of replies that included everywhere from the Ives Concert Park in Danbury to Toads Place in New Haven.

Votes also rolled in for the Saratoga Performing Arts Center and Buddy Guy's in Chicago, which are both a tad out of i95's listening area unless of course, you take into consideration listening to us live via the i95 App.

Here are your top 10 favorite concert venues in the i95 Listening Area.' including some comments about the venues.

    The Ridgefield Playhouse

    Ridgefield, CT

This 500-seat theatre is one of the very best in the state and features shows from every musical genre. There's not a bad seat in the house, and the acoustics are superior. Here are some comments about the Ridgefield Playhouse:

    1. "Love the great variety of shows and the old school charm."
    2. "Loved the easiness of parking. It's a great intimate setting for any kind of live music."
    3. "They have great shows for kids like plays, puppet shows, and animal shows."

    New Haven, CT
    1. "Toads is such a legendary venue and I love the vibe."
    2. "Toads, dude, the place is gritty and loud and I love it."

    Daryl's House Club

    Pawling, NY

I've personally seen a handful of shows at Daryl Hall's club. It's hard to explain, but if you're a music superfan like I am, there's a unique vibe associated with this venue no matter who you go and see. My recommendation is to make a night of it with dinner reservations, which will also get you closer to the stage, although there's not a bad seat in the house. Then you'll know what I'm talking about.

    CityCenter Concerts on the Green

    Danbury, CT

The beauty of free Concerts on the Green in Danbury is they always feature top local talent. At the end of the summer, Danbury steps it up by bringing in a national act for a weekend of shows with no admission required. All you have to do is bring along your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy some great music under the stars.

    2. "I've seen the B-52's, Joe Walsh, and Kevin Hart. The sound and acoustics are great!"

    The Warner Theatre

    Torrington, CT

Personally, there just something about an old refurbished theatre like the Warner in Torrington. It exudes an air of sophisticated coziness and in most cases the acoustics are outstanding. Here are a few comments from Warner Theater concert goers.

    1. "gorgeous building, one of the hidden gems in Litchfield County"
    2. "The sound was excellent, the sight lines were unobstructed, and the seats were comfortable."
    3. "wide variety of shows and reasonably priced concessions"
