As I was looking through photographs from the 70's, before I moved to Connecticut, I came across the smiling face of a friend who needlessly lost their life to a hit and run driver. This driver was going 90mph on a two lane highway and tried to pass on a double yellow line. My friend turned the steering wheel in time to avoid a head on collision but flew over an embankment. This person was eventually caught and charged with vehicular manslaughter. It was determined that the driver was NOT intoxicated but it didn't matter because my friend died in the crash. It's not always drunk drivers. Slow down please.
