Here's a WOW moment. Want to see Venus? You'll need more than the naked eye to do so this weekend.

My alma mater is at it again, and they rock. Stargazers, Western Connecticut State University in Danbury has an invitation for you this weekend.

I'm betting you don't have a telescope hanging around, making this viewing possible. Skyandtelescope.com gives a weekly update of what beauty is aligning in the sky. Some, you can see with what we call the naked eye. Some you can not.

That's where my alma mater comes in. Western Connecticut State University has an amazing planterium show, as well as letting the public be a part of an open telescope viewing of the sky.

The planet Venus will be visible in the skies over Danbury if you have the help of a high-powered telescope. There is a whole schedule of viewings open to the public at wcsu.edu/stargazer. On Saturday Nov. 5, WCSU is hosting a planetarium show that starts at 5 PM followed up by a telescope viewing of the sky from 6 PM to 8 PM and Venus will be one of the planets to see.

Not only can you go the website wcsu.edu/stargazer, but you can call 203 - 837- 8672 for updates.

Now while you have your head in the sky and stars in your eyes, don't forget about the biggest WOW factor of the all. The epic Full Beaver moon happens on Monday Nov.14. Why is it called the Beaver moon. Check out what the Old Farmer's Almanac has to say.

Get ready for history to be made!

WOW, indeed!
