From an article in the Huffington Post comes a story about a fitness writer who loves Rock N' Roll. Charles Muir reached an epiphany when he realized that playing air guitar could be transformed into a new exercise regimen called the Air Guitar Workout.Muir told the Huffington Post, "Air guitar is more than just head banging, it's a full body routine. You have to maintain the shape of the guitar while moving around and that can be intense!"

Muir goes into more depth about his Air Guitar Workout in an article in the Portland Mercury. "When I shred to Van Halen's, "Everybody Wants Some," I work legs, core, even grip strength. I do lawn mower pulls, wood choppers, sumo squats, off-the-couch depth jumps, and medicine ball slams when I smash my air guitar like Pete Townsend."

Muir explains that with his workout, "You get a full body workout that digs into muscles you won't reach hoisting bar-bells."

Well, that's all well and good, Mr. Muir, but, besides the fact you're sweating like a pig, something's missing, TECHNIQUE. I leave you with this video of actor Bradley Cooper demonstrating the fine art of air guitar technique to Neil Young's "Down By The River."
