Richest Baseball Players in History [PHOTOS]
With baseball's post season in full swing, I thought we'd take a look at which players are rollin' in the most dough. We'll take it in two parts. Part 1 starts up with Pirates pitcher, AJ Burnett at #10, who's net worth is $45 million and work up to #5, Ishiro Suzuki, who's raked in a cool $90 million!

AJ Burnet - Pittsburgh Pirates
First drafted by the Mets in '95, he made his major league debut with the Marlins in '99. He returned to New York to play with the Yankees and signed a 8 year $82 million dollar contract. He was traded to Pittsburgh in 2012 and then moved onto the Phillies in 2014 and returned to the Pirates for a one year contract. All the moving around has paid off for Burnett who brings home $16.5 million a year. His net worth is a sweet $45 million! The 38 year old Burnett retired at the end of this season.

Roger Clemens - Retired
Roger Clemens pitched for 4 different teams over his amazing 23 year career. He made most of his fortune while pitching 12 seasons with the Red Sox but was making a pro-rated $28 million a year when he was pitching for the Yankees. His career took a blow when he was accused of using performance enhancing drugs in 2003 but his bank account did not. Clemens is worth $60 million!

Johan Santana - Comeback Bid in 2016
Santana was signed by the Astros as an amateur free agent in 1995 but was acquired by the Twins in 2000 at the age of 21, where he pitched until 2007. He joined the Mets in 2008 and then signed with the Orioles after the 2012 season. A torn Achilles tendon took him out of the game for the 2014 season but he's gearing up for a comeback bid in 2016 with the Toronto Blue Jays. Comeback bid or not, Mr. Santana is worth $65 million dolares!

Carlos Beltran - New York Yankees
Beltran was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in 1995 and made his big league debut in 1998 with the Royals. He went on to become an eight time All-Star, three time Gold Glove winner and currently plays with the Yankees. Beltran's net worth is currently $85 million!

Ichiro Suzuki - Miami Marlins
In his 15 seasons in the majors, Suzuki is one of the best players in the game with a lifetime batting average of .314. He's signed a contract extension with Miami for the 2016 season for $2 million with an option for 2017 even though he's 41 years old. He was the first Japanese position player to play in the United States and has had ten 200 hit seasons where he's batted .300 or more. He's also the first major leaguer to be elected to the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame. How much is Suzuki worth? Try $90 million big ones!
