You would think watching my wife Erica walk around the house with a big, round baby belly would make reality sink in for me that we are having another child, but no, it did not.

On Wednesday of last week, we received, in the mail, an enormous package. After my mother in law broke Federal Law by opening it, we realized it was a crib.

We needed a crib, but had not purchased one yet. It was a gift from my mom and dad and we were very grateful.

Then, Friday night, after finishing up painting our daughter's room, we decided we had enough energy to put the crib together. An hour later, after a lot of swearing and a few injuries, the crib was done, and reality hit me in the face.

I felt like I had been blasted by a run away train. In a few short months, there will be a child living in this room. A fat, little beautiful baby girl will look up at me and think that I have all the answers. I've seen that look before with my other kids. You are both excited and terrified to see it. It's a huge responsibility. To top it all off, it's a little girl. Up until now, I have dealt only with boy problems. I have to throw out everything I know, and get ready for a whole new world. Good luck to me.
