An arrest has been made in association with a string of burglaries that occurred late last week in Sandy Hook.

According to the Newtown Police Department, 40-year-old Lyle Solsbury of Naugatuck was apprehended by Detectives at a hotel in Waterbury after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

This particular arrest stemmed from the investigation that we posted about earlier in the week, in which the following home surveillance footage was captured in Sandy Hook.

This is certainly not Solsbury's first run-in with the law. As the Hartford Courant reported in 2010, he was about to be released from serving a five year sentence for burglaries in multiple Connecticut cities, when a DNA sample matched evidence in a burglary case out of Bethany, CT.

It appears as though Lyle Solsbury had recently studied Christian Ministry, and is shown in the video below giving a sermon at a Church in Norwalk, CT:

This case remains open and more charges are expected. Solsbury is being held at the Newtown Police Department on a $50,000 bond.
