Usually making a mix tape for a road trip is SO easy for me.  But this is much different.  This is a cold weather road trip and THAT is a very different animal.

Yes first off I said mix tape.  I am old school man.  Anyway under normal warm weather road trip conditions I would do two tapes.  The first would be up tempo, adrenaline pumping music.   The second tape would be more mellow for those tired lulls that tend to happen at some point in the trip.  I mean you cannot sustain being hyped the entire trip i just does not work that way unless you are taking meth.

The first tape might look something like this:

  • Metallica
  • Three Days Grace
  • Eminem
  • Lynyrd Skynyrd
  • Katrina and the Waves (Walkin' on Sunshine of course)
  • Len (Steal My Sunshine)
  • Nirvana
  • Pearl Jam
  • Wu-Tang Clan
  • Foo Fighters
  • Eddie Money
  • The Outfield
  • The White Stripes

The Second tape would probably have some:

  • Neil Young
  • Bob Dylan
  • Billy Joel (slow stuff)
  • Michael Buble
  • Coldplay
  • America
  • James Taylor
  • John Mayer
  • Clapton (Slowhand)

You get the idea.  This however is a cold weather road trip which is a rarity for me.  I'm so lost and confused.  What should I do?   Do you have any suggestions?  We hit the road in about 2 hours so hurry up.
