Mom…Dad…you could get ARRESTED!!!

Sheesh it's REALLY tough being a parent today...  Now that I've stated the OBVIOUS...here's 4 things that many of our parents did that could get them arrested today!!!

1) Leaving you HOME ALONE...and we all know from that movie that even though hilarity can ensue..it really was never a good idea!!! These days though there are lot's of states that have a law stating you can't leave your kid unsupervised if they are under 12..some states go even younger.

2) Smoking in the car. A lot of states are in the process of making it illegal to smoke with the kids in the car..6 states have passed the law- Arkansas, California, Maine, Oregon and Utah. Hey- even though lot's of our folks did it-and I don't want to go all "soap boxy"..it REALLY is time to quit!

3) Letting you ride without a seat-belt. All 50 states now have laws that require car seats and seat-belts for kids. Honestly I remember climbing over the seats..front to back..and when my Aunt Loretta had the station wagon we always crawled around!!! What the hell were they thinking!!!

4) Taking pictures of you in the tub. Actually it is legal to take pictures of your kids in the buff.That said..the world and our addiction to social media...and the fact that NOTHING truly ever disappears..and what can happen when you take those photos to be developed! Scary-but true. Better to be creative with the kid pictures in a different way.

Parents...it IS tough out there..I salute you!!!
