Oniontown Man Found With 14 Marijuana Plants, Police Say
Oniontown is making the news again — And no, it’s not part two to the Legend of Oniontown.
The Legend of Oniontown is most likely just legend and rumor, however this news story is true and more along the lines of growing illegal substances. According to a press release, on Friday, Sept. 23, the New York State Police were investigating a separate matter when they claim that they saw something on an Oniontown resident’s property that caught their eye.
That something is said to be 14 fully grown marijuana plants, allegedly growing on George Anderson’s property. Anderson, age 55, of Dover Plains was arrested for unlawful growing of cannabis and criminal possession of marijuana, which are Class A & B misdemeanors.
Mr. Anderson was released on an appearance ticket, and is set to appear in The Town of Dover court later this week.
