It's shaping up to be another great summer full of concerts at the Ridgefield Playhouse, and i95 is proud to present Leon Russell at the Playhouse this Sunday, June 3.

Leon Russell was one of the members of the famed "Wrecking Crew" of studio musicians in the 60s.

From there he went on to lead Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs & Englishmen band, performed at George Harrison's Concert for Bangladesh, and had such luminaries as Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Cocker, two Beatles and three Rolling Stones appear on his first solo album.

Russell has toured relentlessly through the years, and his profile was raised considerably in 2010 when Elton John recruited him for an album of duets, "The Union." A single from that album, "If It Wasn't For Bad," was nominated for a Grammy for best pop collaboration with vocals.

Tickets for Sunday's show are available here.
