What's your favorite dessert? I'll tell you mine. Hint - it's not WINE.

It's not a stretch to say the world is a crazy place. So as far as I'm concerned it's good to indulge in the often times silly "National" Days Calendar. And they proclaim October 14  #NationalDessertDay and I proclaim "dig in".

I think Culinary icon Julia Child said it best - "a party without cake is just a meeting".

And when I hear "party" I think birthday. Here's a "Pam Jam" fact - my mom made an awesome but incredibly simple dessert, chocolate pudding pie with a whip cream topping. And as far back as I can remember it was my "cake" of choice for my birthdays and remains my comfort go - to dessert. New York Style Cheesecake runs a close second though.

You know my motto, "If It's FREE it's for me" and while not all of these places are local if you'd like a list of some deals being offered on this #NationalDessertDay  click on OFFERS.COM
