Famous Broadway star and Pulitzer Prize winner, Lin-Manuel Miranda, is a graduate of Wesleyan in Middletown, Connecticut. You can watch the magic of his mind come alive this weekend on the stage of Danbury High School.

The thought of the stage at my Alma mater, Danbury High School, fills me with excitement. I spent many hours in various productions there during my high school years. Now's my time to crow about my niece, Ally Novella, who is doing the same. Plus, the Connecticut connection doesn't end there. Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote the lyrics and music for the hit show that is being performed this year at Danbury High.

In the Heights was created by Miranda when he was a student at Wesleyan in Middletown, Connecticut. To top that, he just won the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for drama for his current smash hit on Broadway, Hamilton.

Not only can you support local talent from Danbury High School, you know this musical is a show stopper! The dates for In the Heights are Thursday, May 5 at 7:00 pm, Friday, May 6 at 7:30 pm, and Saturday, May 7 at 7:30 pm.

If you want to make sure you don't miss out, tickets are being sold in the front lobby of Danbury High School, 43 Clapboard Ridge Road, Monday through Wednesday this week 10 am to 3 pm, and again from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.

If tickets are still available on the days of the show, they will be sold at the door.

To the whole cast, and especially my girl Ally ( who's graduating this year ) Break a Leg!
