The things we do to see our favorite bands...

I saw the Black Crowes at Toad's Place in New Haven in 1992. At the time, they were just on the way to becoming huge. Shake Your Moneymaker was monstrous, you couldn't turn on a radio anywhere without hearing Hard to Handle. I wanted to go see this show bad. The tickets were going on sale on a Friday night, something that Toad's loved to do for their biggest shows at the time. It made sense, pack the house on a stank Friday show in order to make people come in to buy the show you really wanted to see. So, I sat through Sophie B. Hawkins entire set that evening before they released the Black Crowes tickets. Damn...I wish I was your lover. More concert memories on the way....
