According to Hearst CT Media, it appears a moose was seen wandering through an auto dealership recently in Windsor Locks. The 500-pound young male confidently sauntered through the lot at Auto Direct LLC and stopped briefly to eyeball a 2014 Volkswagen Convertible.

A Connecticut state wildlife biologist told ctinsider.com that this is the season when young and older males are searching for a hot young female moose called cows to hook up with. The breeding season begins in late September and into early October.

There's a distinct possibility that this big hairy fella wandered down from Massachusetts looking for his mate. Moose sightings in Connecticut have picked up considerably, according to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. (DEEP)...In April of this year, DEEP issued a warning urging motorists to be aware during this seasonal period of activity to slow down and drive defensively should a large animal, such as a moose, be spotted on or by the road.
