What was this six foot, 65 year old chubby white guy thinking?  Back in December, my friend Miranda, I-95's Sales Manager, sat me down and asked if I would be one of the "stars" in the "8th Annual Dancing With Our Stars Gala" on April 23 at the Crowne Plaza in White Plains. All proceeds raised benefit Hillside Food Outreach.

The reason I said "yes" was obviously to help Hillside Food Outreach and, also on a personal note to challenge myself by taking on an activity that was waaaaay out of my comfort zone. Each individual who's dancing in the event has been paired with an Arthur Murray Dance professional who is choreographing each person's routine and will be dancing with the "star."

I've chosen Harry Connick's version of "It Had To Be You" which features my Arthur Murray instructor, Tara Aston who will be magnificent while I will concentrate on not falling over. Of course my wife Mindy, feeling left out, had to get into the act and insisted she be included in the competition.

Mindy and I would be honored to have you in attendance on the evening of April 23 at the Crowne Plaza in White Plains. Whether you're able to attend or not, you can vote for your favorite dancer or buy tickets to the Gala by going to the Hillside Food Outreach website. Each vote will cost you $10 and every penny goes to Hillside, and you can vote as many times as you'd like.

Listen to Ethan Carey on the Ethan & Lou Show weekdays from 5:30-10AM on 95.1 FM. You can listen online at i95rock.com/listen-live/ or by downloading the radioPup app for your mobile device.
