Do you really want to know what is in your food all the time?

Ethan, Pam, our interns and I were talking about this in regards to my liverwurst sandwich.

Ethan asked what is in liverwurst and Pam started to describe it and at one point she said yada-yada yada.  I told her that the yada-yada yada is what concerns me.  I mean the devil is in the details there.

Then I told the interns that if they have never see how sausage is made count yourself lucky and don't ever get too curious.

Ethan used to work in a hot dog factory so he knows how gross some of this stuff can be.  He has told me some nightmare stories.

Most of us like to be as healthy as possible and nowadays we want to investigate our food so we know what is in it.

That is not the case with hot dogs, sausage and liverwurst I just don't want to know.  If I did I probably would never eat any of those things again.  Although I did eventually come back to eating sausage after banishing it from my mouth years ago after I saw how it was made.

Yes, sometimes ignorance is bliss.  I was very blissful when I was eating that sandwich I can tell you that much.
