What do I do when I'm strapped for cash? I head to my local ATM machine to withdraw some. That's the norm. Breaking in to one shouldn't be the norm, but when do thieves think normally anyway?

It sure would be tough to carry this ATM machine around. It's sort of like an albatross around your neck. And I can only imagine the thought process of thieves:

"Dude, someone's going to see us!"

"Hey, just grab the whole machine, we'll dump it once we get it open."

Connecticut State Police have posted this message on their Facebook page about the ATM that was dumped behind a building on Main Street in Southbury:

Connecticut State Police are asking anyone with information on the machine to contact state police at 203-267-2200. You can also text TIP711 with any information to 274637. Police say all calls will remain confidential.
