Say it isn't so! According to wallethub.com, Connecticut ranks #50, dead last in Summer road trip destinations. Why is Connecticut at the bottom?

Wallethub favored states that are budget friendly, but also looked at the state's attractions, along with road and weather conditions. Connecticut came in last (#50) in both "Driving and Lodging Costs," and second to last (#49) in "Fun and Scenic Attractions."

The highlight was CT's #16 ranking for "Road Conditions and Safety." Oregon was the overall winner, followed by Nevada, Minnesota, Washington, Ohio, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, North Carolina, and Idaho.

According to the Connecticut Post, the Connecticut Office of Tourism got a bit peeved and responded with a different scenario saying that, "Connecticut's size offers an advantage to road trippers because there's so much to do within such close proximity. From thrilling amusement parks and casinos to the quiet respite of the coast and the country. Connecticut offers much to see and do in just over 5,000 square miles."

So do you think Connecticut deserves their dead last rating according to "Wallethub.com?"
