On January 21, 2017, the day after Trump's inauguration, women from across the country will unite in Washington D.C.

According to the Women's March FB Page, the official statement from national organizers reads like this:

We stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families - recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.

The national organizers of the event are informing interested march goers that this is not a protest -- it's a rally. The rally is planned from 10 AM until 1 PM, and the March launches at 1 PM. Even though tickets are not needed for this event, the organizers are asking participants to go to Eventbrite.com to register only. There are Women's March on Washington chapters in each state, including Connecticut, where the bus schedules have been organized for just about every city and town in Connecticut. Go to this link for all the information you need to know if you're thinking about boarding a bus. The buses are filling up fast.

There are two buses currently scheduled to leave from Danbury from the Mill Plain park and ride. Keep this in mind before you make your decision. Both buses will leave Mill Plain park and ride at 1:30 AM. That's 1:30 AM! To reserve your seat on the bus, you must set up an account on the Women's March Connecticut Facebook page.
