The following YouTube video shows some spectacular aerial footage of Connecticut taken by a DJI Phantom Drone.

This video illustrates the awesomeness of what a drone is capable of. During our trip to Wyoming during the summer of 2015, my friend Scott brought along a drone to capture the spectacular views from where we were staying in Buffalo, Wyoming at the foothills of the Big Horn Mountains. As soon as he launches the drone over the ranch, where we were staying, a hawk decides he's having no part of it. The hawk, screeching like it was in battle mode, dive bombs Scott's drone with wings flapping, it's only purpose was to remove it from his territory. The hawk got its' wish as Scott brought the drone in for a landing unscathed.

Navigating your very own drone can be fun and awe inspiring, almost as much fun as playing Pokemon Go, but should you launch your drone with dastardly intentions in mind, Lord knows what might happen.

If you have, or are thinking of purchasing your own drone, I would advise that you click on knowbeforeyoufly.orgThis handy website will inform you about the rules and regulations the FAA has put into place for, what they call, Unmanned Vehicle Systems. If you're looking to purchase a drone or just try before you buy, checkout Hobbytown in New Milford. Happy flying!
