It's all coming together for the transition from bicycle shop to brew pub in downtown Bethel.

Tim Sheehan posted the original story of the proposed brewery back in April, but now, according to the NewsTimes, the final vote by Bethel residents will take place on Nov. 10. If everything proceeds as planned, the new brewery named, Broken Symmetry Gastro Brewery would begin the process of moving into the space once owned by Bethel Cycle.

I've always loved Bethel because of its small town quaintness, and the fact you can walk to different shops and restaurants. A microbrewery/brew pub is a perfect fit for Bethel. My idea for a perfect Sunday in Bethel is making my first stop at the new brew pub around 3 PM for a couple of pints, and then walking to dinner at either La Zingara, Greenwoods Grille and Ale House, The Note Kitchen & Bar, or The Putnam House, all an easy stroll from the new brew pub. One of the owners, Chris Sanzeni told the NewsTimes,

One of the things we loved about Bethel was it's a walking town, it's that small New England town. It reminded me of reading stories about colonial America with the old pubs and taverns.

You're absolutely right, Chris. It's a perfect match for downtown Bethel! I'll see you during your grand opening.
